“I live in France and had been searching for two years for a new stirrup and stirrup leather in red for my daughters rocking horse. Their Grandparents bought it for them getting on for forty years ago, and when we got Dobbin as they called him out for their niece and our granddaughter one stirrup was missing. He had been under wraps since we left the UK. I could find irons but no-one could provide a red leather.

By chance I was watching an antique programme and saw a piece about Yorkshire Rocking Horses. I thought, have one last try, email them. Well, I’m so pleased I did. Steve has been so helpful.

I emailed pictures of the stirrup and horse complete with jockey! He made a new pair of leathers and found some stirrups that are just the right size. Did this take weeks? No! Just a few days and posted to our daughter in UK for us to pick up on our next trip over.

I have never met Steve nor been to his workshop, but he must be a lovely man to have sorted this out so quickly and at a very reasonable price, plus lots of emails as to progress. Dobbin will now be safer for Izzy to ride this Summer, and will bring pleasure to another generation. Thank you so much.”
