Occasionally we may have an antique or old rocking horse for sale. This may sometimes be directly in our workshop, or more likely we will have the details of a person who has a horse they wish to sell.
If the horse is part of our stock then we will display the retail price of each horse alongside a photo and description here on this page.
For horses located with their owners for which we are happy to pass on their details, then the price of that horse is agreed between you and the seller.
We are able to supply a nationwide delivery service for any horse that we supply, please enquire for costs.
Antique Rocking Horses For Sale
F. H. Ayres Georgian Bow Horse
A classic example of Georgian Bow Horse manufactured by the firm F. H. Ayres Ltd. measuring approximately 42″ high making this horse a medium to large in size.
The horse was purchased from a shop in Edinburgh approx 50 years ago by a family that later moved to Leeds where it stayed until its recent restoration. It was during restoration that the remains of a tartan blanket were found. This blanket being original from manufacture. F. H. Ayres no doubt customising the horse for the Scottish market.

A classic old rocking horse from the last century with something of a 21st-century makeover!
Meticulously hand-painted with unstinting attention to facial details, it’s superb.
Real horsehair was used and dyed to blend in with the stripes.
